Creating Atmosphere in Lincoln

Lincoln BIG promotes an on-going programme of regular activity and annual highlight events which we have helped to nurture and support.

Events organised by Lincoln BIG play a significant part in Lincoln's annual calendar.  The new Lincoln Cultural and Arts Partnership for which we have secured funding from the Arts Council will help to support a wide range of events. The project aims to bring the visitor economy sector and cultural activity more closely together.

Lincoln BIG has a management agreement with the City of Lincoln Council for the Cornhill and City Square to arrange activities in those city spaces and aims to provide a spread of activity across the city from the Cathedral Quarter to the Brayford Waterfront.

Lincoln BIG plays an important role in this process by booking public spaces, providing licensing, health and safety advice, event equipment and offering support and funding to event organisers wanting to bring their activities into town.

Organising Events

Events that Lincoln BIG have organised and continue to do so include:

  • Lincoln Ice Rink
  • Lincoln Fashion Week
  • Brayford vehicle displays such as the VW Camper Day and Bike Fest
  • Lincoln Beach
  • Farmers, Artists, Craft and Antiques Markets
  • Live music
  • Dance, comedy and music festivals.

See the Visit Lincoln website for more information about events in the city.

Advertising Opportunities

There are often opportunities to advertise as part of Lincoln BIG's events and activities:

  • Online Advertising - VisitLincoln.com
Events promotion on the Visit Lincoln website not only helps to show off the great offer Lincoln has as a destination but presents a fantastic opportunity for event organisers to profile and advertise their events to a local and national audience.
For more information see the Visit Lincoln website or download the Events Promotion Ratecard.
