Be Part of Lincoln Fashion Week 2019

Forget London, Paris and Milan! Lincoln BIG is masterminding another unmissable fashion spectacular - which means that county fashionistas will find the hottest looks right on their own doorstep!

Date: 17th Sep '18

Today, the Business Improvement Group revealed that Lincoln Fashion Week is making a comeback, from May 3 to 10, 2019. It will also have a Victorian theme, because it will be 200 years since the birth of Queen Victoria.

Events & Promotions Manager Michael Armstrong said: “We’re really excited to remind everyone how fabulous this year’s fashion week was, to reveal LFW dates for 2019 and to tell people we’ve already started planning for it.

“We are already thinking about different ways in which people and businesses can get involved, from potential sponsors to models and a charity partner.”

2018's eight-day fashion week finale, at the Alive Church in Newland, featured a stylish aviation twist (giving a nod to the 100th anniversary of the RAF) and you could hear a pin drop as our audience were held spellbound listening to a world exclusive by members of a Military Wives’ choir.

More than £3,000 was raised for charity partner the Lincolnshire & Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance Charity Trust (LNAACT), taking into account half of the finale ticket receipts, the charity’s hugely popular Ballroom Boutique in the city’s Waterside Shopping Centre and donations for other retailers who took part.

Our amazing week not also attracted a huge following. It was staged with the support of 156 models, 53 volunteers, 29 stylists – including freelance make-up artist Feroza Nathu, Toni & Guy and instore make-up brands such as Benefit, Lancome, Estee Lauder, Clarins, Clinique and Bobby Brown.

Altogether, 19 retailers from across the city rushed to get involved!

Lincoln BIG Events & Marketing Assistant Jacinta Peachey said: “Now we are starting our search for a charity partner for 2019.

“Our association with LNAACT worked brilliantly and the charity netted £3,050, so today we are calling for expressions of interest from other charities who would love to work with us – and benefit – from next year’s showcase event.

“It’s a great opportunity. Lincoln Fashion Week 2019 will raise our chosen charity’s profile, take its name to a wider audience and, at the end of the day, give it a cash boost. Any interested organisation is urged to email me. The deadline is October 12.”

Lincoln BIG will be releasing information of interest to potential models in the near future.
