Once again, Lincoln BIG has teamed-up with Market Place Europe to bring the Lincoln Street Food Festival to the city.
Whether you have been on an overseas holiday, or stayed in the UK, this popular event - which takes place between Thursday to Sunday, September 19 to 22 – is a great excuse to enjoy a fantastic mix of flavours which promise to bring back those holiday memories.
Food lovers will be able to tuck into a tempting selection of continental and international foods. On offer will be Spanish, Greek, Chinese, Mexican and exotic street foods, to name but a few.
There will also be traditional favourites alongside, including a Hog roast and, for those wanting to take the flavours of the world home with them, a great selection of fresh foods, including olives, cheese, breads, cakes and sweets.
When everyone is all shopped-out and has been tempted with the fantastic foods on offer, they are invited to find a spot to relax and unwind in our Continental Street Bar in the Cornhill, with its variety of beers.
It adds up to the perfect interlude to people’s shopping experience in Lincoln’s fantastic city centre. It’s also a great way to end their Food Festival experience. Cheers!
Market Place Europe Operations Manager Andy Pidgen is really looking forward to what promises to be a terrific festival for the city.
“The people of Lincoln always give us a warm welcome to their fantastic city and this is our final visit to Lincoln this season, so we urge them to make sure to pay us a visit in the High Street.
“We have some fantastic traders joining us again and there will definitely be something for everyone to enjoy at this family friendly event.”
The food festival’s opening hours are: Thursday to Saturday - 9am to 8pm and Sunday - 10am to 5pm.
Lincoln BIG Chief Executive Sarah Loftus said: “We are delighted to be working with Market Place Europe again, to bring back this colourful, friendly market. It offers a welcome feast of colour and tastes for the senses for everyone, following the return to school and work after the Summer holidays.”
