Lincoln’s Aboretum was transformed into a rainbow sea of colour and took on an amazing carnival vibe, as thousands of revellers descended on the park for a major city festival.
Lincoln Pride, which has outgrown its former Brayford Waterfront location, attracted followers from far and wide to an event which celebrates the diverse LGBTQ+ culture in Lincolnshire and the wider East Midlands.
The inclusive get-together buzzed with people of all ages, including families, who were determined to enjoy a great day out. There was a chance to catch-up with friends, visit scores of colourful stalls and relax to a wide variety of music, including a line-up of live acts which featured singer, songwriter and X-Factor Judge Tulisa.
Lincoln BIG was delighted to support Lincoln Pride, which went off very smoothly at its new venue.
Lincoln BIG Evening Economy Manager Marian Cooney said: “We were pleased to see so many people enjoying themselves and to have provided the organisers with radios, allowing them to have instant contact with the city’s CCTV control team and the police, if needed.”
