Staff representing Lincoln BIG were proud to remember the fallen of World War II on the 75th Anniversary of the Normandy Landings to liberate Europe, on June 6.
Lincoln BIG Operations Manager Richard Baxter and Street Wardens, Steve Roney, Danny Mason and Morgan Mellor, who are working hard to keep the street scene clean and tidy, joined city shoppers and visitors paying their respects at the Act of Remembrance Service.
The service at the Lincoln War Memorial, which was attended by Civic dignitaries, was conducted by the Reverend Jeremy Cullimore.
It included a parade of Standards by those representing all sections of the armed forces, the sounding of the Last Post and the laying of wreaths at the foot of the memorial. Lincoln's old curfew bell "Old Kate" was also rung.
