Up to 12,000 people are ready to follow their noses and make a bee-line for a sizzling hot event.
October 12 sees the return of the Lincoln Sausage Festival which is a favourite foodie gathering, attracting people from miles around.
First-time visitors and regulars who traditionally flock to the festival – which takes place in and around the grounds of Lincoln Castle between 10am and 5pm – are urged to look out for guest demonstrators and special fun characters who always make this annual event a real winner.
It’s a great opportunity for the whole family to tuck into some tasty Lincolnshire sausages, meet award-winning producers and suppliers and visit The Children’s Marquee.
Characters to look out for are Mr Sausage – who will be bringing Mrs Sausage along this year too – Juggling Jim and The Cosmic Sausages. There will also be sausage-making demonstrations from Curtis of Lincoln and cookery demonstrations by Lincolnshire chef Rachel Green.
The Lincoln Sausage Festival is organised by The Rotary Club of Lincoln Colonia and is supported by Lincoln BIG and VisitLincoln.
