Our three wardens are sporting new uniforms, including smart blue polo shirts emblazoned with Lincoln BIG's new logo, teamed with navy shorts. They also have a second uniform for use in cooler weather. Their fresh new look reflects the team's unstinting efforts to keep the city looking clean and welcoming.
And the good news is they have another pair of hands to help them - thanks to the city shopworker who was eager to join them for a few hours each week.
Wardens Steve Roney, Danny Mason and Morgan Morrow - who carry radios to keep in touch with levy payers - are regularly spotted out and about, chatting to Lincoln BIG levy payers, doing quick maintenance jobs in the street and signposting city visitors to the best sights.
Most recently, they have been giving street furniture a lick of paint, improving the street scene using our portable "street hoover" and putting our chewing gum blitzer Chewy Chew to work.
Now Marks & Spencer section co-ordiinator Rachel Hockley is thrilled to be joining the wardens for a few hours each week. She volunteered her services, with the blessing of her employer - who is also one of our levy payers. Thanks Rachel!
