Lincoln BIG Receives National Recognition for Innovation in Retail Crime Reduction
Lincoln BIG is proud to announce that it has been Highly Commended in the Innovation in Retail Crime Reduction category at the National Business Crime Partnerships Awards 2026.
The award recognises creative and effective approaches to tackling retail crime, highlighting impactful interventions and strong partnership working. Lincoln BIG was recognised for its Civilian Investigator Project, a pioneering initiative designed to support businesses, improve intelligence sharing, and strengthen responses to retail crime across the city.
This recognition reflects the ongoing work delivered on the ground by Lincoln BIG’s Crime Liaison Officer.—Danny Mason, whose dedication and proactive approach have been instrumental in the success of the Civilian Investigator role.
The National Business Crime Partnerships Awards are judged by sponsors using a rigorous scoring matrix, making this commendation a significant national endorsement of Lincoln’s collaborative approach to community safety.
