Job Title:      Tour Guide

Lincoln Business Improvement Group (Lincoln BIG) is recruiting a new Tour Guide to work on the popular Sightseeing Tour Bus.

The Open Top Tour bus is managed by Lincoln BIG and operated by Stagecoach East Midlands. Tour Guides sit at the front of the tour bus, on the top deck, facing backwards – located by the microphone.

Job Purpose:

• To provide a running commentary of Lincoln’s 2,000 Year History utilising the tour guide notes provided.
• To inter-act with the general public on the tour prior, during and post the tour.

A Tour Guide’s shift would be a morning shift (10.30 am – 1.30 pm) or afternoon shift (1.30 pm – 4.30 pm). Shifts are selected voluntarily on-line using the Sign-Up system and are allocated on a first-come firstserved basis. You should aim to arrive before your first tour time to prepare yourself and ensure there are no problems. Training will be on-the-job training with the Tour Guide Coordinator and other tour guides.
