Isaac Newton Trail 2027
Summer 2027: Lincoln will come alive for Isaac Newton 300 — a vibrant ten‑week art trail celebrating one of history’s greatest thinkers.
Isaac Newton 300 is coming to the city in Summer 2027, transforming Lincoln into a spectacular outdoor gallery celebrating one of history’s greatest thinkers and one of Lincolnshire’s most famous figures.
From Tuesday 30 June – 22 September 2027, the streets of Lincoln will be filled with incredible apple sculptures, each one bringing its own story, creativity and connection to Isaac Newton. Keep your eyes peeled as you explore — you never know where you might discover your next apple!
Created by Lincoln BIG in partnership with Wild in Art, Isaac Newton 300 will be a free, family-friendly and fully accessible art adventure for everyone to enjoy.
The trail will feature a collection of large, artist-designed apple sculptures, each created by talented artists and sponsored by businesses and organisations from across Lincolnshire and beyond. Alongside these, you’ll discover a dedicated schools trail featuring medium-sized sculptures created by talented local children and young people.
The trail celebrates the 300th anniversary of the death of Sir Isaac Newton, whose connection to Lincolnshire forms an important part of the county’s history. Through art, science, creativity and discovery, Isaac Newton 300 will bring his story to life in a way that everyone can enjoy.
