The annual Independents’ Day UK campaign in partnership with Local Rewards is back for a whole weekend this year – July 2nd & 3rd, promoting and supporting independent retailers around the UK!
With many businesses in Lincoln being independent traders, the city is brilliantly placed to celebrate and promote Independents’ Day 2022.
Lincoln has a range of amazing independent stores across the city, so why not support them this weekend. The city’s independent retailers offer choice, diversity of product and service, tradition as well as innovation, and a more personal service to customers. They are also job creators and contributors to local and national economies. With retail spending under pressure, never have they needed our support more. As a shopper, Independents’ Day UK is your chance to show some love for the independent retailers you value most both in Lincoln and online. So, next time you’re thinking about purchasing those new clothes, getting a gift and a card for someone special or just having a coffee and something to eat with an old friend, skip online spending and visit your high street independent retailers. It’s likely that by venturing off the beaten track, you’ll find just what you’re looking for…
How to get involved:
• Follow and engage with the campaign across social media platforms.
• Share the campaign with friends.
• Give a shout-out on social media to the independent retailers you love and value most – be sure to use the hashtag #ukindieday.
• Make a list of one or two independent retailers that you’ve never visited before, or even local favourites you’re familiar with and pledge to visit them on Independents’ Day.

Local Rewards are providing the chance for TEN lucky winners to win back their spend (up to £100 each) at a local independent retailer. Whether you’re buying coffee, clothes, flowers, furniture, vinyl or vegan snacks… you can enter every time you make a new purchase!
HOW TO ENTER:
Open to UK entrants age 18+.
Multiple entries allowed (one per purchase). Closing date is 5 July 2022 at 23.59 BST.
